Small Business Saturday and Downtown Tree Lighting

Renton’s Annual Downtown Tree Lighting in now a full day of events and activities!

First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. November 27, 2010 was the first ever Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is the day we celebrate the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S.

Several businesses in Downtown Renton are participating in the shopping extravaganza 10 am – 5 pm, November 24, 2018 by offering special deals and giveaways.

Downtown will come alive with traveling entertainment and live music. Information booths will be set up to direct shoppers to the participating stores and to provide general event information plus giveaways!

As an extra incentive to shop local and support participating businesses, the event will include raffle drawings and prizes. A passport will be handed out at the information booths. For every $20 retail purchase or $5 food and beverage purchase, shoppers will receive a stamp from participating businesses. Completed passports can be turned in for entry in the raffle drawing.

The Pavilion will be open at 3 pm and there will be activities, live Christmas music, crafts, storytelling along with cookies, cocoa, and sweet treats provided by local nonprofits for everyone to enjoy.

At 5 pm in Piazza Park in front of the Pavilion, Jolly Old Saint Nick himself will join us for the annual Downtown Tree Lighting. Don’t miss your chance to get your photo with Santa!
