City of Renton

The City of Renton offers programs, events, fitness and fun to inspire and encourage your participation. You can find them in the latest addition of What's Happening, linked on the image here. There are several ways to register or received more information online at, in person at the Renton Community Center, or by calling 425-430-6700. City staff will be happy to assist!

Renton History Museum

Located in historic Art Deco firehouse, the Renton History Museum offers changing exhibits, programs, publications, and events to share Renton’s stories, past and present. The Museum is situated in downtown historic Renton and is surrounded by local shops and restaurants, offers free parking, and is close to the library and Liberty Park.

Multicultural Festival

The Renton Multicultural Festival is presented by the City of Renton in partnership with the Mayor’s Inclusion Task Force and several local community groups and organizations. For two days in September, the City of Renton will come alive with the sights and sounds of one of the most diverse populations in the country as the city presents the second annual Renton Multicultural Festival, a celebration of diversity and community. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2018 Festival dates.

Renton Farmers Market

The Renton Farmers Market was established in 2002. The volunteer group Piazza Renton was one of the driving forces behind the formation of the Market and is still involved today. The City of Renton and Piazza Renton work together to execute each market, and work year round to create an amazing Farmers Market for the community and visitors to Downtown Renton. Visit the Market June through October every Tuesday between 3 and 7pm.

Renton River Days

Renton River Days is an annual multi-day family festival and celebration of community pride, joining residents, businesses, organizations, and Puget Sound tourists together for a wonderful variety of events, special features for kids, arts and crafts, recreation, food, and stage entertainment at Liberty Park and Cedar River Park.

IKEA Performing Arts Center

The Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center is a venue for student theatrical training, a home for local and regional artists and is dedicated to providing outstanding cultural programming for the community. The performing arts center opened in 2003 on the Renton High School campus. The Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center is available for rentals year round. The center includes a 540 seat theatre, a wrap-around lobby, spacious dressing rooms, a 35 foot fly space, restrooms, on-site parking and parking in municipal parking garage. Renton Civic Theatre

Founded in 1987, the Renton Civic Theatre began its existence as a professional performing arts theater from a boarded up old movie house. The original founders of Theatre recognized the value of the 1920's movie palace. The owner of the building consented to a lease, and the building was painted, re-carpeted, and re-wired for theatrical lighting. Funds were raised from local businesses and private individuals. Renton Pavilion Event Center

The Renton Pavilion Event Center is located in the heart of downtown Renton, just 15 minutes from Seattle and Seatac Airport. We’re situated close enough to the city to remain at a convenient traveling distance, but far enough away to avoid the hassle of limited parking. At 10,000 square feet, the event center can be designed as the perfect space for both large and intimate events.

Piazza Renton

Piazza Renton is a broad-based organization formed to create a vibrant, healthy community in the Greater Renton area by enhancing community spirit and pride through projects, events, teaching, learning and celebrating.

Renton Chamber of Commerce

The Renton Chamber of Commerce's mission is to improve business and economic conditions and the general welfare of the community. To that end, the Chamber is in the business of serving business, as it has for more than 100 years. The Renton Chamber of Commerce started in 1909 as a local commercial club and then incorporated in 1943. The Chamber offers its members leadership development, networking opportunities, advocacy, and resources to promote business prosperity.
