Last Fall we asked downtown Renton small business owners to fill out a survey to help the Renton Downtown Partnership focus energy on the things that matter most. Big thank you to those that took the time to submit a survey response! We loved hearing your feedback and have already been busy addressing the largest areas of concern.
Four main elements were identified in the survey as areas needing immediate support: 1) Help with Clean-Up and Aesthetics; 2) Create Opportunities for Networking with Local Peers; 3) Organize More Events; and 4) Address Safety and Security Concerns.

Help with Clean-Up and Aesthetics
The Design Committee is developing a plan to get more light pole banners installed and the Economic Vitality Committee now organizes quarterly clean-up events! The next clean-up will be held on September 10th:

Two recent IGNITE! meetings focused on safety & security and featured staff from the Renton Police Department discussing the Business Watch program, filling out a Business Trespass Authorization form, the Renton Citizen Camera Registration program, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design
