Operations Assistant, Renton Downtown Partnership

Type: Part Time (Targeting 20 hours a week)

Salary: $20 to $25 per hour

Minimum Education: High School Graduate

The Renton Downtown Partnership (RDP) is seeking an Operations Assistant to help us grow our
contribution to the downtown Renton community. Applicants should have event planning experience,
volunteer management, professional networking skills, and a cheerful approach to community
engagement. Previous non-profit experience, public relations, and community organizing is a plus.


The Operations Assistant will help the Renton Downtown Partnership build a better downtown Renton
and better engage our community by planning and executing events, managing day to day operations of
the organization, spearheading our social media, and working with our sponsors and volunteers

Work Listing:

  • Assist with event planning and execution
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers
  • Support committee chairs on project implementation
  • Maintain contact and data lists
  • Build strong and productive relationships with downtown partners
  • Spearhead social media endeavors
  • Engage and communicate with sponsors
  • Respond to community Inquiries


  • Always present the partnership, downtown, and partners in a positive light
  • All communication is clear, concise, and transparent
  • All work and contacts are tracked using RDP tools and documents
  • Know how to use Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Smartphone, and computer

  • Functioning computer with MS Office and internet capability
  • Smartphone
