Friday, October 12  - Salmon Bake - 5 to 8pm Salmon Bake at the Senior Activity Center Come  join us for a delicious Northwest tradition. The salmon bake will features fresh food from Rain City Catering.  Dinner includes salmon, sides and dessert.  Entertainment will be provided by storytellers from the Tulalip Tribe, drumming, traditional dance and door prizes!
Saturday, October 13  - Run Wild 5k - 9:00 - 11:00am Riverview Park 2901 Maple Valley Highway, Renton, WA 98058. Run with the salmon! Witness the Cedar River salmon migration as you participate in this free 5k along the river  View the Course page for more details.  This free 5k is hosted generously by Renton Parkrun. There is no cost to participate, but participants are encouraged to register before the run in order to get your time for the event.Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you do not register and bring your barcode, you will not get a time Don't miss your opportunity to view spawning locations and participate in programming presented by the Seattle Aquarium...then follow the river into Downtown Renton for hosted activities all day long!
Follow the trail to where the Cedar River Naturalists will be partnering with the Seattle Aquarium to host a viewing & educational station and "salmon themed events" all day! Pop into Carco Theatre to view documentaries and short films on how to protect the salmon population through cleaner living and keeping our waters fresh.
Starting at 4pm, Renton's first night market will fill empty storefronts on S 3rd Street and delight your senses. Don't miss out on these great displays and offerings from local artisans and vendors.
